This Privacy Policy explains how Guardian Funding LLC ("Guardian Funding," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit glfundnow.com, apply for pre-settlement funding, or contact us by phone, email or text message.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you apply online, request a call back, or contact us, we collect:
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Case information: the type of case, whether you have a lawyer, the amount of funding you'd like, and whether you have received funding from another company and how much.
- Your lawyer's details: your lawyer's name, law firm, phone number and email address.
- Anything else you choose to tell us by phone, email or text.
Our online application does not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth or medical records.
Information from your lawyer and others
To review a funding request, we work with your lawyer. With your permission, we may receive information about your case from your lawyer's office, such as accident or police reports, insurance information, records related to your injury, and information about the status and expected value of your case. We use this information only to review, provide and administer your funding.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our servers and service providers automatically receive technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. To protect our application form from spam and abuse, we also record a coded (hashed) version of your IP address, which we use only to limit repeated submissions.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your application or call-back request and contact you about it;
- review your case with your lawyer and decide whether, and how much, we can fund;
- prepare, provide and administer funding agreements, including repayment from a settlement;
- answer your questions and provide customer service;
- keep our website and records secure, and prevent fraud, spam and misuse;
- comply with laws, regulations and legal requests, and protect our legal rights.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Your lawyer. We communicate with your lawyer about your case and your funding.
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, phone and text messaging, data storage and security providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisers. Our lawyers, accountants and auditors, as needed for their work for us.
- Business transfers and financing. A buyer, investor, lender or other successor in connection with a merger, sale, financing or transfer of all or part of our business or of funding agreements, subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Guardian Funding, our clients or others.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We do not share your personal information with other companies for their own marketing.
4. Calls, texts and emails
If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your application or request, including by automated means. Your consent is not a condition of receiving funding. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
- To stop text messages, reply STOP. For help, reply HELP or call (310) 900-0774.
- To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email or contact us.
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. If you have an active application or funding agreement, we may still contact you about it.
5. Cookies and online tools
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for the site to work and stay secure. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work properly.
Our website also uses these third-party tools:
- Google Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google, so your browser connects to Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address and browser information. See Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Spam protection. Our application form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated programs. Cloudflare may collect information about your browser and device for that purpose. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
Do Not Track. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Our website does not currently respond to these signals, because there is no common standard for them.
Other websites. Our website links to sites we don't control, such as Google Maps. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. This includes reviewing your request, administering any funding agreement until it is fully resolved, and meeting our legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
7. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Our website encrypts information in transit, and online applications are stored in a password-protected system that only authorized staff can access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and California privacy rights
You can contact us at any time to:
- ask what personal information we have about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- ask us to delete your information. We may need to keep some information, for example to administer an active funding agreement or to meet legal requirements, and we will tell you if so.
We will need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of the agent's authority. We will not treat you differently for making a privacy request.
California "Shine the Light." California residents may ask whether we have shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information for that purpose.
To make any request, email info@glfundnow.com or call (310) 900-0774.
9. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If we make material changes, we will take additional steps to let you know where the law requires it.
